Tips, Ties And Tactics Fly Patterns For Bonita Beach FL: Spring Break Flies And Fins Style
Posted by bonefisher on Wednesday, February 21 @ 18:31:34 PST

I'll be fishing in bonita beach, FLA this April. Has anyone fished that area? If so, do you have any fly suggestions for me. I'll be fishing from the beach and off some large rocks that hold the beach together. Also in the docks under lights.

Thanks,
Bonefisher

Fishing the beaches for jacks, ladyfish, and maybe snook in april can be really good, as long as the wind is not blowing off of the gulf. Try poppers and gurglers for some fun topwater action, ep minnows in a variety of bright colors on a 9wt floating line to get it below the surface, and if there are snook laying in the washout right off of the beach try using some shrimpy patterns fished slowly to get them to eat. Let me know when you are coming, and if I'm not in the Bahamas, I'll try to show you some spots.
