Tips, Ties And Tactics Beach Snook Tip: Flyfishing On Foot In Naples
Posted by marshalld on Sunday, November 19 @ 06:53:29 PST

Today while waliking the Beach I may have stumbled on to another way to target Snook lies. The water was off color due to the wave action and although there were some fish working bait, actually seeing Snook was a problem. The sun was still low in the East casting Palm Tree shadows along the shore. I made a effort to cast into these shadows, hoping the darker shaded water would be camo for laid up Snook.

I was right. a twenty-seven inch Snook pounded the Clouser on the first cast, not seven feet from shore and in the shade provided by the Palms. Although I never hooked another Snook, there were pleanty of Lady Fish also in the shadows.
